The stronghold Product
-
The Stronghold has been designed by an installer with product design experience. This has resulted in a simple to use product that works. You can physically feel the support and reliance that the Stronghold gives you when attached. It will averagely take five to 10 minutes to set up and it takes a similar time to pack away.
If you do not already use a method of full restraint when working above ground floor, then this 10 minutes will be worth every second. If you compare transporting and setting up of tower or even scaffold for a higher floor. Using the Stronghold is a no brainer.
-
The Stronghold fold away system. The horizontal lifeline work, positioning lines, harnesses and all. Carabiners, load straps to attach light tools and product to, and a safety net if requested. It all comes on a transport barrow.
-
No, The Stronghold is a hire only product.

Yes, as long as the trained operative stays opposite the access point. So the window for example. And there were no obstacles in between.
The Stronghold is simply a mobile anchor point which conforms to BSEN795B 2012 as long as the correct subcomponents are used and the operative is fully trained.
-
Yes, it is. Although it has had many enhancements since then and can now be used up to five metres in width and by three trained operatives at once rather than two.
-
Yes, it can. Up to three trained operatives. Generally speaking, if set up to 3.7 metres in width, two operatives would work best.
-
Although light and simplistic in design, the Stronghold is a substantial piece of equipment which not only provides anchor point for free operatives, but also a highly visible barrier, thus protecting not only the operatives attached to it, but everyone else in the vicinity. This is useful on a site where multiple tradespeople might be working around one another the operatives. The Stronghold provides a clear work zone inside the perimeter of the Stronghold, where harnesses must be worn at all times and which should be kept clear at all times, of tools and waste.
The Stronghold can be adjusted in height so the attachment points for the operative's work positioning lines are always in reach and always above them, which isn't the case for some other products. A man anchor style system which relies on the system being loaded up with weight would typically require 250 to 300 kilogrammes for just two people and this will need to be transported to site. The whole Stronghold system weighs around 35 kilogrammes and can be used by three operatives, not two. The stronghold also provides separate anchor points to attach light hand tools and products.
